The author has firsthand experience working at the Vet Center, Veterans Benefits Administration, and VA Medical Center. They have witnessed the mistreatment and neglect of veterans, including themselves. Many veterans endure years-long waits, and some even pass away before their claims are eventually denied. While working at the Veterans Benefits Administration, the author observed lazy Veterans Service Officers taking frequent long breaks and denying veterans to ease their workload. It took the author 21 years of relentless appeals to the VA Regional Office and a judge in Washington, D.C. to finally achieve "permanent and total" status.

The author's personal experiences and observations have motivated them to write this book, leaving a legacy to help those who feel helpless, frustrated, and lost in navigating the VA and Social Security systems. The goal is to ensure that our veterans receive the care and support they deserve.
